Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill a pool of six (6) part-time Student Event Assistants within the Chancellor and Dean's Events Unit at Oregon State University-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon. This role offers students the flexibility to choose "gigs" (events) they are available and interested in working to pick up extra hours here and there. Tasks generally include moving furniture and event setup / cleanup. Students can expect to work between 0-5 hours per week, depending on the event schedule. This is an academic year (September 2024-June 2025). This is a pooled position posting-hiring is ongoing, as needed. Position Duties
- Event Setup and Cleanup : Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment for events.
- Event Support : Provide support during events as needed, including check-in, tours, assisting with catering or A / V, and other general customer service.

Compensation
This position is paid at a standard rate of $17.00 / hour, up to 20 hours / week during the academic year and 40 hours / week during breaks and summer. The student employee submits a timesheet for supervisor approval on the 15th of each month and receives their paycheck on the last day of the month.
Training
Students will be required to complete OSU's online child abuse prevention and reporting, information technology security, and diversity training. Job-specific training will be provided on September 19.
