Oregon Supported Living Program is currently hiring for Assistant Managers for our programs here in Eugene/Springfield. Working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities is some of the most rewarding and fulfilling work you can do. As an Assistant Manager you will fill a dual role as a Direct Support Professional providing support for the individuals living in the home as well as the responsibilities of the Assistant Manager.
What you will be doing:
As a DSP:
You will provide support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in ways that enhance the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of those we support.
Job duties included and not limited to:
· Providing person centered companionship
· Preparing meals and cleaning
· Plan and participate activities in the community
· Ensure daily tasks to provide a safe and heathy home
· Possibly nursing delegations (not in all homes)
As an Assistant Manager:
· Weekend work is required
· Taking Weekend On-call for Program you are assigned to
· Designated admin hours to complete tasks
· Delegated monthly administrative tasks
· Shopping for groceries and general house supplies
· Not responsible for disciplinary actions

Requirements -- Must be 18 years old - Must be able to pass federal background check - Must be able to safely lift up to 45 pounds – Must have a valid Driver’s License - Must work weekends.

Social Skill Requirements
- Ability to positively interact with residents and coworkers.
- Ability to effectively send and receive verbal communication using the English language.
Aptitude Requirements
- Must be able to read English and write it legibly.
- Able to perform basic math functions.
- Must have the ability to analyze, reason, and make decisions.
- Must be able to learn and retain new skills.
Environmental Factors
- Most work is performed in residential house.
- Occasional exposure to outside elements.
- Occasional driving of wheelchair van, minivan, or sedan.
- Possible exposure to chemicals and/or compounds throughout work shift.
This position summary covers most of the duties performed; however, other duties and responsibilities not listed may be assigned at the discretion of management.
Salary : $19 - $21
