CNC Lathe Machinist Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking an entry level CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic precision metal manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in operating CNC Lathes to produce high-precision components. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Machinist will work closely with inspectors, shift managers and other team members to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc systems, to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, pin gages and drop gages to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and reduce waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a metal manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in operating CNC Lathe machinery a plus.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their application in quality control.
- Experience with operating CNC machines, including knowledge of Fanuc systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents effectively is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
