Department Summary
Facilities Services is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and construction of the OIT campus. The department supports the education of approximately 3,000 students and the activities of 400 faculty and staff. The Facilities Services department employs 36 full time workers and varying numbers of part time workers and student laborers. The Facilities Services is a service organization responsible for planning, construction, renovating, and maintaining college buildings and grounds. It operates the mechanical and electrical systems in such a manner as to support the college teaching and community service goals while minimizing consumption of natural resources and providing other services to the college which ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment with effective use of economic and human resources.

Position Summary
This position performs general cleaning duties inside and outside of Oregon Tech facilities including, but not limited to maintain a clean and orderly facility; empty trash and recycling receptacles; clean surfaces, walls, interior doors, frames, glass, overhead pipes, and window coverings; sanitize high traffic areas and objects such as phones, drinking fountains, hand rails, door handles; vacuum floors and upholstered furniture. Spot clean carpets and furniture as needed; clean and sanitize restrooms and shower rooms; clean building entrances, exterior doors and glass, exterior corridors, clean stairways, and clean elevators; perform deep cleaning duties as needed or assigned; and secure buildings after business hours.
This position works Monday through Friday from 3:00pm – 11:30pm.

Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of standard custodial practices and the proper use of cleaning products.
- Ability to carry/lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to push/pull up to 150 pounds.
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Current, valid Driver’s License.
