Position Summary
The Oregon Tech Dental Clinic is seeking a part time dental assistant. Our dental team provides a full slate of dental services to the Klamath community in collaboration with the dental hygiene education program. Our Clinical Dentist provides expanded and routine services to a variety of community members with a focus on quality and customer service.
The Dental Assistant will work side by side with dentists, hygienists, faculty, and students to provide patient care and perform general dental assisting duties. The Dental Assistant will perform duties of instrument processing; sterilization management; supply inventory and ordering; small equipment and operatory maintenance, and may assist with general front office duties when necessary. The Dental Assistant must be able to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking and decision making skills to keep the patient schedule running efficiently. The Dental Assistant must be collegial and integrate with the entire dental team.

This position is a part time, temporary, hourly position, with the possibility of expanded hours as the clinic grows. Primary work days are on Monday and Tuesday, but may include other days/hours as available.
Minimum Requirements
Additional Requirements
- Certification of DANB, OR Radiology certification, and/or EFDA certification (see Classification Requirements)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience full time dental assisting
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant credentials
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Restorative endorsement
- Experience serving patients with Oregon Health Plan/Medicaid
- Experience in equipment and supply management/ inventory procedures
- Experience in front office management, insurance billing, patient intake/appointment management.
