Production Encapsulation Technician

Description

The ideal candidate will work closely with Production Supervisor/Manager to manage a variable workload.  Would need to be able to effectively multi-task and learn a variety of production processes from herbal extraction to sampling.  The ability to learn how to create and print batches from X3 would be ideal, but not critical.  Flexibility in work responsibilities is critical.

Key Function/Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for proper performance of assigned production tasks to ensure the timely completion of production orders and that the product manufactured meets the required quality standards.
• Responsible for hands-on operation of production equipment including but not limited to: Blenders, Tablet Press, Compactors, Encapsulation, Coating machines, Mixers, Pumps, Vacuum and Loading machines, Labeling machines, Imprinting machines, Sealers, Bottle filling machines, Cappers, Induction sealers under the supervision of the Production Supervisor / Team Lead to manufacture oral dosage forms in a cGMP manufacturing facility.
• Operates In-process testing machines like Balances, Leak testers, and Re-Torque machines.
• Performs all job duties in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), following Belcher Pharmaceuticals Quality Manual and Facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Records all pertinent operations in packaging records, logbooks, and controlled documents.
• Performs assembly, disassembly, operation, packaging and equipment cleaning.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills:

• Education:   High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years experience in production, preferably in the pharmaceuticals or food processing industry.
• At least 1 to 2 years experience with encapsulation machines AF40T, AF90T and AF150T
• Working knowledge of GMP in FDA-regulated environments.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal procedures.
• Trainable and capable of following procedures
• Quality conscious.
