General Dentist

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, with a focus on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of dental issues. This role requires excellent clinical skills, a commitment to patient education, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations to determine dental health and treatment needs.
• Perform a variety of dental procedures including but not limited to root canal therapy, oral surgery, and prosthodontics.
• Administer anesthesia and manage pain control for patients undergoing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Document all medical histories, treatments, and procedures accurately in patient records.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide optimal patient care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
• Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
• Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and dental fabrication techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for patients.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $75.00 - $120.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
