What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Delivery Driver position at Orens Hummus SF1 LLC?
Oren's Hummus is hiring Catering Drivers for our downtown San Francisco location. Our catering team provides deliveries throughout the Bay Area and our San Francisco restaurant has consistent orders needing to be delivered to our Clients. The majority of deliveries take place Monday through Friday but evening and weekend deliveries are common.
The primary role of our Catering Drivers is to deliver food and beverages to the guests promptly, safely, and to follow the standards set by both Oren's Hummus and the Client. This includes setting up food trays upon customers' request, explaining menu items and terms, and providing suggestions to customers when asked.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid California Food Handler Certification
- Valid California Drivers License
- Valid Vehicle Insurance
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately load and unload food, beverages, and catering supplies/equipment into and out of the vehicle
- Deliver food and beverages to various locations in a timely manner (primarily San Francisco but nearby cities as well)
- Set up catering equipment at event locations, if necessary
- Follow navigation systems and road signs to reach destinations
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of your personal vehicle and equipment
- Adhere to food safety standards during loading, transportation, and setup
- Inspect and pack necessary supplies and utensils needed for the event
- Communicate with restaurant Managers and Catering Manager about delivery schedules and potential delays
- Process payments and invoices into the POS in a timely manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their needs and requirements
- Communicate in a timely manner with Catering Manager of any customer issues with orders
- Accept catering order in a timely manner
- Report mileage, earned tips and hours worked in a timely manner
COMPENSATION:
- Minimum wage plus tips (tips vary but average $50 - $75 per delivery)
- Minimum of 2 hours pay per shift (all shifts over 2 hours paid accordingly)
- Mileage based on current IRS rate
