Overview
ORG Services is seeking a Cultivation Technician to join our cultivation team. The Cultivation Technician will work directly under the direct management of the Cultivation Manager. The Cultivation Technician provides daily care of cannabis plants from cutting stage to harvest and will provide quality care and attention to the entire cultivation operation. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company’s standard operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations are essential for this position.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for cultivation rooms, plant health, canopy management, room environment and cultivation processes at the direction of the Cultivation Manager.
- Monitors and maintains fertigation system including nutrient mixing, monitoring of nutrient EC, pH, and temperature as directed by the Cultivation Manager.
- Communicates with team members and management regarding plant health, integrated pest management (IPM), and equipment issues (irrigation, tables, lights, etc.)
- Daily monitoring of room temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels according to company protocols.
- Supports other cultivation team members throughout the grow as needed, including potting, de-leafing, staking, and trellising, cleaning, and sanitation.
- Timely completion of work per schedule and strives to increase productivity through coordinated workflow and process improvement recommendations.
- Ensures accurate plant inventory in Bio track and company batch records.
- Maintains a clean grow room and workspace by regularly cleaning and sanitizing tools, equipment, and grow rooms to ensure sanitary practices.
- Uses PPE as required: gloves, uniforms, hair and beard nets, shoe covers, etc.
- Performs all duties as required and any additional duties assigned by the Cultivation Manager.
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
