Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to individuals, particularly focusing on children, teens, adults couples, and families. This role requires a strong understanding of DBT and play therapy, and the ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations. Training in mental health nutrition and rewiring the brain using neuroscience are preferred but not required. As a Psychotherapist, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their mental health challenges through effective treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on diagnostic evaluations.
- Provide therapy sessions utilizing various modalities, including DBT and Play therapy
- Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and teachers to support children and teens.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and client progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychotherapy.
Skills
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis and behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with children and understanding pediatric mental health issues.
- Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation and patient assessment.
- Ability to provide grief counseling and support for clients dealing with loss or trauma.
- Experience working with individuals with ADHD, trauma, and developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
