Organic Roots requires all Clerks to be friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable in all areas of the store. Customer service is essential in meeting customer needs and meeting the Coffee Bar Department goals.
Responsibilities for Barista
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
- Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
- Observe relevant health and safety standards
- Stock displays fully to give feeling of abundance. Ensure freshness by rotating, keeping batches separate by date.
- Department Maintenance
Qualifications for Barista
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to read and speak English proficiently
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to problem solve quickly
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow directions
Wage Scale
Min $17.00 Hour Pay
Min $17.00 Hour Pay
Mid $18.65 Hourly Pay
Max $20.50 Hourly Pay
