Position Summary
Janitor/Maintenance Clerk
The Janitor/Maintenance Clerk must be able to provide our customers with a clean and safe environment, to support the preventive maintenance of the store equipment, and to assist the store manager with cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with cleaning of the facility as directed by the Store Manager and/or the store owner.
Clean and maintain building facilities (offices, bathrooms, sales floor, backroom, hallways, service areas, etc.).
Sweep, mop, scrub and vacuum floors using cleaning solutions, tools and equipment.
Clean or polish walls, ceilings, windows, and fixtures, dust furniture, walls and other equipment.
Clean and maintain outdoor walkways, patio and receiving area.
Gather and empty trash and recycling.
Clean and maintain bathrooms.
Assist with equipment moves and meeting/event set-ups as needed.
Maintain store lighting, replace burnt out bulbs in a timely manner.
Touch-up paint throughout the store on as needed basis.
Assist with hanging store signage, store decorations, etc.
Maintain a clean and organized janitorial rooms/mop closets
Other Responsibilities
Communicate with the Store Manager on the status of projects and priorities, and the need to order materials/supplies or need for repairs.
Assist other team members in achieving the goals of the Department and the store.
Adhere to all Maintenance Department and Store policies as outlined by the Store Manager, Employee Handbook.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Some janitorial experience preferred
Ability to understand and read basic English instructions
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision
Leadership skills
Strong communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and vendors.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee regularly comes into contact with water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items. The employee is frequently required to wash hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Pay: $16 per hour

Benefits: You will be eligible for Dental, Health, and vision on the first of the month following 60 calendar days of employment.
Sick Pay: Sick Hours will accrue 1 hour for every 30 hours worked. Accruals up to 24 sick hours per year.
401k: Enrollment eligible after 3 months of employment
