The Position
Organon’s US Commercial Team is seeking an Associate Director (AD), US Field Training and Optimization to be part of a centralized function that drives successful business performance across our diverse US Business Units, spanning both pharmaceutical and medtech/medical device portfolios. This role is essential for providing impactful Training and Optimization support to our field-facing teams.
A successful candidate will have experience in designing and delivering effective and innovative commercial and field sales training / engagement programs. They will have a deep understanding of sales force incentive plans, field deployment, business planning, and business analytics.
The AD, US Field Training and Optimization will be an HQ-based role with up to 25% travel expectations. The role will report to the Director, US Field Enablement and Operations within the US Commercial Strategy and Operations organization.

Responsibilities
- Cultivate insights through connection with Business Unit (BU) field teams, including in-field observation, interaction, and training delivery.
- Design and deliver cross-BU aligned training programs and optimization tactics customized to BU needs and business priorities.
- Evaluate training needs from each business unit and prioritize areas for development.
- Plan and deliver live internal engagements, such as national sales meetings and virtual webinars.
- Develop and deliver selling schools for each sales team.
- Conduct regular field observations, complete coaching reports, and follow up with direct supervisors, as needed.
- Develop monthly insight reports highlighting common themes observed from the field and HCPs.
- Provide monthly competitive intelligence updates on new approvals, promotional messages, or threats.
- Lead workshops for live, virtual, and LMS-based learning, overseeing relevant content as the subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to identify skill and knowledge gaps and update adoption cycles and selling models.
- Minimum eight years of experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and/or medical device industry.
- Proven track record in a customer-facing role such as field sales management or account management.
- Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills, potentially including previous experience leading workshops at sales meetings or new hire classes.
- Strong familiarity with pharmaceutical and/or medtech Sales and Marketing processes and regulatory/compliance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with adult learning and upskilling approaches and best practices.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
