The position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. The individual in this position will understand our technological capabilities, business objectives, and firm operations to be able to identify cost-effective solutions and strategies to improve business efficiency and to help our business achieve strategic goals.

Requirements
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- On going design, configuration and maintenance of complete hardware stack to support the technological needs of the firm
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting issues and resolutions, prioritizing solutions, and assessing the impact of errors
- Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure
- Maintain and monitor backup operations and collaborate on appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and overall system performance
The Systems Administrator must be able to:

Education and Experience Requirements
- Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- 2 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
- Working knowledge of virtualization, cloud-based systems and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
- System administration and IT certifications in VDI or cloud-based infrastructure.
