About the Role
- Drive and operate Orica's bulk trucks (Mobile Mixing Units) and install blasting products for customers
- Accountable for equipment upkeep and maintenance
- Blended role with 40% driving and 60% physical work related to product installation
Key Responsibilities
- Product loading, driving a Class B CDL truck, pulling hoses, and climbing on/off the truck in various weather conditions
- Operating plant and equipment to provide blasting products while assisting in delivering a high-quality service of bulk explosives to customers
- Safety and environmental responsibility are top priorities
Work Schedule
- Monday thru Friday
- Home every night
- Local driving (2–3 hours)
- Early morning starts (4 AM – 5 AM)
- 10-12 hours per day approx.
- Overtime may be needed
Requirements
- Class B CDL with additional endorsements preferred
- At least one year of experience driving and/or handling materials preferred
- Knowledgeable of DOT regulations required
- Able to communicate and work in a team environment
- Good attention to detail and math skills to handle inventory on daily basis
Physical Requirements
- Work environment involves being outside in all types of weather
- Lifting up to 60 pounds and carrying 50 pounds or more of product or other materials
- Must be able to load product, pull large hoses, fill holes, and climb on/off of the truck
- Pushing/Pulling in working with equipment
- Frequent bending and squatting
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Pay Rate: $23-25
- Signing Bonus: $4,500
