About the Role
Explosives Warehouse Operator is responsible for managing the safe and compliant storage, dispatch, and receipt of explosives and related materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures distribution safety schedule is met and adequate feedback is provided to distribution operators
- Manages machinery and equipment breakdowns to minimize business interruption
- Ensures communication of post goods issue progress
- Liaises with site distribution to ensure documentation flows in a timely manner to meet scheduled requirements
- Manages explosives limits within ATF regulations
- Ensures accuracy of operation of the explosives inventory
- Ensures cost-effective and timely delivery of product
- Establishes cost-effective working relationships with distribution contractors
- Delivers agreed level of service
- Ensures explosives and inventories are compliant with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel is preferred
- Knowledge of SAP experience is a plus
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Shift starts at 7:00 AM
- Work approx. 10 hour days
- Every nine weeks required to be on-call
Physical Requirements:
- Work environment involves being outside in all types of weather
- Lifting up to 60 pounds/ carrying 50 pounds or more of product or other materials
- Pushing, pulling, bending, and squatting while using equipment
