The Role: Field Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our field services team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our Mobile Mixing Units (MMUs). Your primary objective will be to ensure the optimal performance of these critical pieces of equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless delivery and service processes.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure
- Conduct repairs as needed, focusing on hydraulics, gear process pumps, and electrical systems
- Collaborate with our operations team to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities
- Travel regularly within the eastern US region to support our customers
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. Specifically, we are looking for someone with:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently in remote areas
- Minimum 45 years of experience in troubleshooting or maintenance environments
- Computer literacy with industrial applications
- Expert practical understanding of control theory and systems, including electronics, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics
- Highly developed problem-solving abilities
- Underground mining work preferred, but not required
- Ability to obtain MSHA certification (training provided)
