To qualify as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug supervisor applicants must be a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Care provider licensed under the Maryland Health Occupations Article, have 3 years experience or more experience in alcohol and drug counseling that includes 3,000 hours of direct client contact AND have one of the following options :

1. Option 1 : 3 credit (5 quarter credit) graduate level course in counseling supervision from a regionally accredited college or university.

2. Option 2 : 18 CEUs (continuing education units) in counseling supervision from an approved CEU program.

3. Option 3 : Hold the Clinical Supervisor credential issued by ICRC (International Certification Reciprocity Consortium) or NAADAC (National Association for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors).

Must be able to work 20 hours per week ;PT;1099

The director will supervise the following : Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Approved Supervisors provide supervision for the following : 1. LGADC (Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor) 2. CPC-AD (Certified Professional Counselor-Alcohol and Drug) 3. CAC-AD (Certified Associate Counselor Alcohol and Drug) 4. CSC-AD (Certified Supervised Counselor-Alcohol and Drug) and 5. Alcohol and Drug Trainees pursuing either the CSC-AD or CAC-AD and LGADC or LCADC.

Key Responsibilities :

• Clinical Supervision & Evaluation :
• Provide guidance and support to addiction counselors, review client records, note audits and monitor the administration of treatment services.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance :
• Ensure adherence to COMAR standards for substance abuse treatment, implement quality assurance measures, and monitor treatment services.
• Staff Management & Development :
• Assign tasks, conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and address any issues related to staff performance.
• Program Development & Implementation :
• Contribute to the development and implementation of substance abuse treatment programs, services, and protocols.
• Data Collection & Reporting :
• Oversee the collection of data related to treatment services, generate reports, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Client Advocacy :
• Advocate for clients' rights and needs, ensuring they receive appropriate treatment services and support.
• Collaboration & Communication :
• Collaborate with other professionals, stakeholders, and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery
