We serve our community through our café, mobile coffee bar events, and wholesale partnerships. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Coffee Roaster to join our team part-time, with the potential to transition into a full-time role as our roasting operations expand.
- Roasting coffee to maintain quality and consistency across various profiles (averaging 400–600 lbs/week to start).
- Managing green coffee inventory, ordering, and receiving shipments.
- Evaluating new green coffee samples for potential additions to our lineup.
- Planning and scheduling roast batches based on production needs.
- Conducting sample roasting and cupping sessions for quality control.
- Keeping accurate roast profiles and inventory records using Cropster or similar software.
- Maintaining and cleaning roasting equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.
- Staying informed on industry trends and new sourcing opportunities.
- Assisting with wholesale orders and occasional café support when needed.
- 2 years of roasting experience with a deep understanding of coffee profiles.
- Proficiency in Cropster (or similar inventory and roast management software).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of coffee tasting, brewing, and profile roasting.
- Experience with production planning and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfort with Google Drive, spreadsheets, and other technology tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a small but passionate team.
- Ability to lift up to 155 lbs (single coffee bag).
- Push 150–200 lbs using pallet jacks.
- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
- Work in a loud and sometimes hot environment.
- Pay: $18/hour
- Part-time position (with the opportunity to transition into full-time)
