Business Development Manager – Energy Sector

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development and Strategy

• Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, and battery storage technologies.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to position Origin Engineering as a key partner in the renewable energy market.
• Build a robust pipeline of potential clients and projects by leveraging market research and industry connections.

Client Relationship Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the renewable energy industry, including project developers, utility companies, and policy influencers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a seamless experience from initial contact through project completion.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their project needs and provide tailored engineering and manufacturing solutions.

Market Analysis and Policy Advocacy

• Stay informed about energy policies, regulations, and incentives at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Analyze market trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for growth.
• Provide actionable insights to senior management to align business strategies with industry shifts.

Proposal Development and Project Management

• Lead the development of proposals, bids, and RFP responses for renewable energy projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of proposals and technical solutions.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements that align with company goals and client expectations.

Technical Collaboration and Innovation

• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure an in-depth understanding of technical aspects of renewable energy projects.

• Support continuous improvement efforts by communicating client feedback to internal teams.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on business development or project management.
• Established network of contacts within the renewable energy sector.

Skills and Competencies
