Accounts Payable Associate

Job Description:
We?re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Accounts Payable Associate to join our growing finance team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and are excited about contributing to a mission-driven company with room to grow?this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Process outgoing and internal payments in compliance with company financial policies and procedures
• Record daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and posting accounts payable data
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are accurately recorded
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements
• Maintain up-to-date reporting of accounts payable status
• Understand and apply expense account coding accurately
• Support monthly close and financial reporting processes
• Perform additional accounting tasks and financial analysis as needed on a project or recurring basis

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a comparable accounting role
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and AP principles
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Proficient in data entry and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel)
• Experience with accounting systems or proprietary software -(e.g. Quickbooks)
• Comfortable working with numbers and financial records
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude and desire to grow within the company
• Passionate about contributing to Jocko Fuel's values and mission

Work Details:

• Location: Farmington, ME OR Dover, NH (On-site)
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour

Work Environment:

• In-person, office-based role
• Must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Jay, ME or Dover NH prior to start
• May require occasional extended hours during peak periods (e.g., holidays).
