Job Description:
We?re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Accounts Payable Associate to join our growing finance team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and are excited about contributing to a mission-driven company with room to grow?this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Process outgoing and internal payments in compliance with company financial policies and procedures
- Record daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and posting accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are accurately recorded
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements
- Maintain up-to-date reporting of accounts payable status
- Understand and apply expense account coding accurately
- Support monthly close and financial reporting processes
- Perform additional accounting tasks and financial analysis as needed on a project or recurring basis
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a comparable accounting role
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and AP principles
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Proficient in data entry and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel)
- Experience with accounting systems or proprietary software
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial records
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude and desire to grow within the company

- Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour
Work Environment:
- In-person, office-based role
- Must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Farmington, ME 04938 prior to start
- May require occasional extended hours during peak periods (e.g., holidays).
