Position Description

The GME (Generation Management System) Engineer position, reporting to the Head of Digital Technology will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Origis Energy's GMS (Generation Management System), which monitors and controls multiple utility-scale renewable energy power plants.

The GME Engineer is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and maintenance of all OSI Monarch related applications, including OpenSCADA, OpenCalc, OpenHIS, OpenICCP, OpenOPC, etc.
• Work closely with other engineers to ensure the successful integration of plant SCADA systems into GMS environment.
• Participate in onboarding of new projects into the GMS, including point-to-point testing with plant SCADA systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to the GMS, including user manuals, maintenance guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the GMS in a timely manner.
• Train end-users and other engineers on the use and maintenance of OSI Monarch.
• Support the implementation and deployment of security patches and software updates to the OSI Monarch platform.
