Front Desk Receptionist
Responsible for managing the front desk and phone system/switchboard in an efficient manner. Responsible for properly directing calls, deliveries, taking reservations, as well as assisting club members and guests. Responsible for assisting other departments as requested.
Looking for someone who can work Wednesday through Sundays from 4:30pm. to 8:30pm plus additional hours as needed to cover vacations.
Assigned Duties and Responsibilities
1. Answer phones, direct calls to appropriate extensions and take messages when requested.
2. Greet and assist members and guests as needed by directing them to appropriate rooms, locating staff members who can help them, distributing locker room keys, taking calls, receiving payments and handling other miscellaneous requests.
3. Take reservations for the dining rooms and special member events. Responsible for keeping food and beverage department informed of counts and special requests.
4. Assist food and beverage department with various projects as needed.
5. Responsible for being aware of the upcoming club events, as well as where to locate the information when necessary.
6. Accept mail and deliveries when they arrive and distribute and/or direct to the appropriate departments. Post all outgoing mail for pick-up. Track postal charges to be allocated to other departments or activity groups. Make special trips to the post office when necessary.
7. Handle member bulk mailings by preparing envelopes, inserting statements/material and posting envelopes for mailing.
8. Order supplies for each department, keep up with supply cabinet, toners and print cartridges for copiers and printers, keep supply of coffee/snacks for 6th floor staff.
9. Be point person for copier and mail machine maintenance and repairs.
10. Responsible for handling other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least two years of multi-line phone or switchboard experience.
- Computer Experience a Must, Excel, Word and Accounting programs a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong hospitality skills and ability to work with members and employees.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
