Job Title : Project Engineer - Small Capital Projects
Location : Gonzales, LA
Travel : 15-25%
Position Summary :
In this role, you will lead small capital projects (under $5MM) within the North America operations business, specifically in the Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group. You will support strategic planning, turnaround planning, and turnaround execution. This team provides specialized services and additional capacity for infrequent events related to operational assets such as Hydrogen (H2, HyCO) and Air Separation plants.
Job Responsibilities :
- Lead assigned capital projects (both standalone and projects within plant outages) and manage all engineering, design, and construction resources.
- Develop project estimates, funding documents, schedules, and ongoing forecasts for plant-executed projects within SAP.
- Ensure all projects undergo adequate process hazard reviews and operational readiness inspections (ORI’s), ensuring timely completion of all recommendations.
- Adhere to inherent process safety in all project designs.
- Provide field supervision and support during project execution.
- Manage project safety and ensure projects remain on budget and schedule.
- Ensure all projects meet the operability needs of the customer.
- Maintain a basic understanding of the operating plant environment.
- Ensure quality standards are met as outlined by the company.
