SUMMARY : Lead salesperson for Kentucky / Tennessee . Selling production area fire protection (detection and extinguishment) equipment solutions to business and industrial establishments. Manages and expands business relationships with targeted prospects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct sales calls to customers offices or manufacturing plants.
- Makes outbound lead follows-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
- Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Develops customer relations including but not limited to sales leads, cold calling, qualifying leads, developing leads, and customer service.
- Meet or exceed territory sales goals.
- Maintains and develops client relations for new and larger established existing customers, assuring all existing customers are contacted regularly to ensure customer satisfaction and develop need-based marketing relations.
- Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
- Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.
- Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Coordinates customer training.
- Builds and maintains customers’ relationships.
- Prepares reports of business transactions.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Attends conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Overnight travel up to 50%.
