Orion Group is currently seeking a Payroll and Tax Analyst to join our pharmaceutical client in North Chicago.
Our pharmaceutical client has expatriates in over 45 countries around the world, and this role will perform an analysis in a wide array of currencies.
As part of the responsibilities, the analyst will assist with the creation of a data analytics tool/dashboard, which will allow our business leaders insights regarding our relocation programs.
This professional will be engaged in assigned projects necessary to support the Total Rewards team, which has several US members, and will be exposed to global activities and processes within the company.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Review and analyze expatriate tax and payroll results and pay slips in various currencies
• Navigate within the Workday environment and analyze data extracted from the platform
• Utilize vendor tools and source documents to validate Expatriate payroll production including tax ramifications
• Operate under general or minimum supervision, and perform duties with broad latitude for judgment
• Quickly synthesize data, determine implications, and make informed decisions often with large volumes of data
• Document, recommend, and make process improvements
• Present outcome of analysis to team members as well as leadership
• Tax Equalization review and collection
• Other duties as assigned
Must be proficient in Excel, including but not limited to using pivot tables, sorting and filtering large volumes of data, as well as analyzing data in Excel pulled from various sources.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are imperative
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to project manage several projects simultaneously
• Multi-lingual or bilingual is a nice-to-have
