OVERVIEW
At Orion Groups, we are looking for an Applications Manager with a passion for healthcare technology.
Applications Manager helps oversee the Clinical Informatics department and is responsible for the delivery and support of technology services including maintenance and enhancements of existing systems and collaboration on new systems and processes.
The role is crucial in representing the design decisions for the project, identifying workflows, and any education needed, and supporting the users and the hospital around their technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and lead a technical staff of clinical application specialists and clinical informaticists including training, evaluation, and job assignments
- Planning, Evaluation, Selection, Design, Development / Implementation, Recovery and Maintenance / Support of hospital applications
- Participate in all stages of technology changes, from specification development to implementation related to the clinical applications
- Provide ongoing support to users and serve as a resource person for daily operational issues related to the applications
- Collaborates with operational leaders, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team to evaluate current EMR functionality and develops future workflows.
- Collaborates with other IT teams on the development of end-user training materials and documentation
- Support clinicians through change & release management processes
- Recommends innovative ideas, processes and / or procedures for enhancements to improve existing systems
- Develop communication and training plans for technology changes
