Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and qualified individual to oversee our central laboratory’s evening shift team of 4 to 6 Specimen Processors. In this role, you will guide and coordinate the team’s workflow to ensure the timely completion of all tasks while maintaining the highest quality standards essential for accurate medical testing. The Team Lead is responsible for verifying specimen receipt, sample sorting, and data entry processes in a fast-paced, high-output environment, adhering to established standard operating procedures.
Pay and Benefits:
- $19.00 – $23.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of specimen processors to achieve performance goals.
- Ensure samples are appropriately received, labeled, and delivered to the laboratory for analysis.
- Report any performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors.
- Identify and resolve operational problems promptly to maintain seamless laboratory operations.
- Provide training and support to staff, fostering professional growth and skill enhancement.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating work assignments to meet requirements.
- Respond to inquiries from clients, staff, and patients via phone and email.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service to patients and clients.
- Provide suggestions and recommendations to enhance workflow.
- Assist management by offering input for performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Act as a liaison between departments to streamline collaboration and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
