The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards, while performing custodial and commercial cleaning tasks. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of Assisted living areas, including patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Execute floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures as outlined by OSHA regulations.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure effective sanitization of surfaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of cleaning equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with other environmental services staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and tasks completed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or environmental services, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established cleaning protocols effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
