Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at various job sites throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
Note: In addition to salary, the bonus potential is 10–15% of salary based on project performance.

Job Description
- Serve as the on-site Field Engineer for heavy highway and civil construction projects
- Collaborate daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Crews
- Coordinate materials and ensure all certifications meet contract specs
- Track project progress, maintain reports, and document site activity
- Oversee subcontractor performance and timelines
- Balance and manage concrete deliveries and pours
- Assist with project close-out and reporting
- Work in a variety of outdoor environments and occasionally second shift
- Travel to job sites within a 1-hour radius of Chicagoland or Northwest Indiana
- Start each day directly at the job site
- Company vehicle provided
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in construction (2-5 years preferred)
- Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering required
- Valid driver’s license
- Prior experience working for a contractor preferred
- Heavy highway construction experience strongly preferred
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
- Local to the Chicagoland or NW Indiana area (within 1 hour of job sites)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn construction software
