Job Description
- Support attorneys with all aspects of real estate transactions, including commercial and residential closings.
- Review titles, surveys, and prepare necessary documentation for real estate transactions.
- Coordinate buy/sell and loan transactions from inception to closing.
- Communicate directly with title underwriters to prepare title commitments and clear title requirements.
- Draft closing documents, entity resolutions, and closing statements.
- Prepare lease summaries and assist with entity documentation.
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Maintain organized schedules and ensure attorneys meet all deadlines.
- Track and maintain records of billable hours.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a real estate paralegal in a law firm.
- Proficiency in real estate software (e.g., ClosingVU, Qualia), Microsoft Office Suite, and document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Knowledge of Florida real estate law and court e-filing processes.
