Audit / Attest Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assurance & Tax Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned CPA with at least 5 years of public accounting experience, specializing in assurance engagements, tax compliance, and financial advisory services. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee assurance engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations for small to medium-sized businesses.
• Lead teams in planning and executing business and personal tax engagements, including preparation and review of 1120S, 1065, 1040, and 1120 tax returns.
• Provide advisory services on financial processes, business strategy, and tax planning.
• Guide clients through IRS, state, and local tax compliance matters, including responding to notices, disputes, and audits.
• Oversee and review accounting engagements for tax return preparation, including financial statement preparation and adjustments.
• Conduct year-end tax planning for owners of pass-through entities.
• Work closely with attorneys on buy/sell agreements, stock redemptions, and business valuation matters.
• Participate in quality control initiatives, peer review preparations, and internal process improvements.
• Mentor and develop staff, leading firm-wide initiatives to enhance professional growth and efficiency.
• Represent the firm at networking events, business development initiatives, and professional organizations.
  
  

Qualifications:

• CPA certification required (active).
• 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on assurance and tax services.
• Experience managing engagements for industries such as construction, manufacturing, real estate, professional services, and investment entities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong ability to oversee client engagements and serve as a trusted advisor for financial and tax matters.
• Effective leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for staff development and process improvement.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Creative Solutions software is a plus.
• Experience working with flow-through entities and business owners in a consulting capacity.
