- Manage and oversee assurance engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Lead teams in planning and executing business and personal tax engagements, including preparation and review of 1120S, 1065, 1040, and 1120 tax returns.
- Provide advisory services on financial processes, business strategy, and tax planning.
- Guide clients through IRS, state, and local tax compliance matters, including responding to notices, disputes, and audits.
- Oversee and review accounting engagements for tax return preparation, including financial statement preparation and adjustments.
- Conduct year-end tax planning for owners of pass-through entities.
- Work closely with attorneys on buy/sell agreements, stock redemptions, and business valuation matters.
- Participate in quality control initiatives, peer review preparations, and internal process improvements.
- Mentor and develop staff, leading firm-wide initiatives to enhance professional growth and efficiency.
- Represent the firm at networking events, business development initiatives, and professional organizations.
- CPA certification required (active).
- 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on assurance and tax services.
- Experience managing engagements for industries such as construction, manufacturing, real estate, professional services, and investment entities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong ability to oversee client engagements and serve as a trusted advisor for financial and tax matters.
- Effective leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for staff development and process improvement.
- Experience with Creative Solutions software is a plus.
- Experience working with flow-through entities and business owners in a consulting capacity.
- Active participation in professional networks and business development activities.
