Orion Solutions is partnering with a global leader in supply chain solutions to find an experienced Accounting Leader to drive their department's success. This key role focuses on overseeing daily operations, providing strategic direction, and managing a talented team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present management reports with insights into financial performance and business metrics.
- Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
- Process vendor payments, maintain payment plans, and send confirmations to vendors.
- Oversee payroll execution, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments, taxes, and deductions.
- Manage payments to benefit providers and supervise bank and credit card reconciliations across operations.
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Analyze and validate financial data using systems like Vizio and QuickBooks to support decision-making.
- Calculate and process sales team commissions, ensuring timely communication and compliance with agreements.
- Review and follow up on customer and vendor invoices while maintaining organized financial records.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of accounting and leadership experience, ideally in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Proficiency in process improvement and transformational opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
