Financial Controller

Orion Solutions is partnering with a global leader in supply chain solutions to find an experienced Accounting Leader to drive their department's success. This key role focuses on overseeing daily operations, providing strategic direction, and managing a talented team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present management reports with insights into financial performance and business metrics.
• Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
• Process vendor payments, maintain payment plans, and send confirmations to vendors.
• Oversee payroll execution, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments, taxes, and deductions.
• Manage payments to benefit providers and supervise bank and credit card reconciliations across operations.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Analyze and validate financial data using systems like Vizio and QuickBooks to support decision-making.
• Calculate and process sales team commissions, ensuring timely communication and compliance with agreements.
• Review and follow up on customer and vendor invoices while maintaining organized financial records.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of accounting and leadership experience, ideally in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Proficiency in process improvement and transformational opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Salary: 130-150K
