Description
This position is responsible for managing facility operations at two primary locations , including receipt, delivery, placement, and maintenance, and will play a key role in ensuring facility compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Primary Responsibilities :
- Oversee day-to-day management of project operations, including inspections, paperwork, permitting, and adherence to health and safety regulations at both project locations.
- Manage materials (soils, etc.) and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Supervise approximately 6 personnel, including laborers, operators, and administrative staff.
- Ensure maintenance and proper utilization of staff and equipment at project locations, working 40 hours a week with some Saturday work required.
- Travel between CT and MA sites as needed (preferably based in CT, but will consider candidates in between both locations).
- Develop reports for senior management and regulatory agencies, maintaining positive relationships with state and local regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards, in partnership with the safety team.
- Oversee facility compliance, transportation logistics, and overall profitability, recommending equipment upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Communicate company programs and initiatives effectively to all employees, both direct and indirect. Additional Notes :
- Candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations at both the CT and MA project sites.
- Ideal Candidate : Bachelor's degree in environmental / civil engineering, environmental science, or business management recommended. Experience in a regulated environmental industry is highly preferred.
- If the candidate lacks a degree but has substantial relevant experience (especially with competitors), they will be considered for the role. Qualifications Basic Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental / Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or Business Management recommended.
- 8 years of experience in facility operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in operating treatment, processing, recycling, and / or transfer facilities. Preferred Qualifications :
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and direct project operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in working within a regulated environmental industry is a plus.
