Description
As an Onsite Service Technician, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of oxygen and nitrogen producing plants located on customer sites. This role is responsible for meeting plant performance goals, which include such categories as maintenance, troubleshooting / repair, process operation, site organization, customer billing, and record keeping.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain safety, quality, and compliance activities at each assigned plant location.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on a variety of industrial plant equipment (compressors, valves, transmitters, analyzers, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plant operational issues.
- Manage site operations with minimal supervision to meet product specifications and production efficiency standards.
- Coordinate contractors and resources, both internal and external to the company, to support plant maintenance and to meet safety, quality, and production standards.
- Review and interpret process & instrumentation diagrams and schematic wiring diagrams.
- Complete self-guided training assignments and activities to advance comprehension of the position’s responsibilities.
- Manage procurement / purchasing to meet maintenance budget goals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility.
- Drive a service truck up to 2 to 3 hours per day and up to 8 hours on occasion.
- Per scheduled time periods (intermittently 1-2 times per month), provide backup plant coverage and outage / turnaround support for other technician operated locations.
- Occasionally assist or direct the training and development of new employees.
