You will collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to safely operate first-of-a-kind industrial installations. You will be a key technical member of a cross-functional and rapidly growing organization. Your work will directly contribute to the demonstration of a first of a kind long-duration energy storage technology.Utilize SCADA system to operate high power (hundreds of kW to MW), high temperature (>
2000C) R&D and production unitsTake regular logs and document operational anomalies for communication to test engineering and the product development group at largeSupport install, uninstall and commissioning activities to enable full-scale TES module testingDevelop and maintain plant SOP'sGenerate and execute on designs for minor site or equipment modifications and upgradesDiagnose construction and machinery issues; perform maintenance; resolve onsite malfunctionsPerform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisorHelp with site package receiving, inventory control, cleanliness of workspace and equipmentOperate as the primary point of contact for the site during off-hoursRequirements : Knowledge of industrial plant operationKnowledge of electrical circuits and experience with a multimeterWillingness to work 12 hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends)Willingness to learn how to perform mechanical maintenanceCompetent with basic computer skills and business software packages (Slack, Excel, Adobe, etc.)Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of timeTechnical training in electrical disciplines3 years operating experience in an industrial facility, process industry, or similar relevant experiencePrevious lifting operations experience (fork lift, rigger, crane operator, etc.)Experience with high-temperature, high-power industrial systems (energy, thermal processing rockets, etc.) in a fast moving environment with exposure to a wide array of subsystems (fluids, thermal, electrical etc.) and instrumentation (TC / RTD, optical sensors, load gauges, flow meters, etc)Experience with common communication industrial communication protocols (Ethernet / IP, Modbus, Profinet, HART, CAN, etc.) and PLC programmingLift operations experience (fork lift, rigger, crane operator, etc.)Experience troubleshooting test equipment and coming up with quick solutionsData analysis experience and able to create trends relevant to tests being performed
