The Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of equipment and facilities in a manufacturing facility. They will lead a team of maintenance technicians, develop maintenance schedules, and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules for all production equipment.
- Liaise with production managers to schedule maintenance activities during downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify issues or potential failures.
- Coverage of repairs and troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of machines.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining adequate inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management.
- Experience with Homag or Komo woodworking machinery is an asset.
- Proven experience in leading and supervising maintenance teams.
- Proficiency in CMMS software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality.
