Under the direction of the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing overall shift operations, production performance, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance at the facility. This role ensures that both the facility and its staff adhere to all federal, state, local, and customer requirements, while maintaining a safe working environment.
The Operations Manager will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day staff within the facility and supervising all leads in and out of the facility.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :
- Maintain operational documentation, including reports, licenses, procedures, and order requirements.
- Oversee production staff by communicating job expectations, monitoring performance, and coaching employees as needed.
- Select, orient, and train employees while offering opportunities for personal growth.
- Monitor workflow, setting processing variables and observing control points to ensure efficient operation.
- Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, and revising schedules as necessary.
- Maintain quality standards by establishing and enforcing organizational procedures.
- Ensure equipment operates effectively by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment.
- Provide manufacturing information by compiling production performance data.
- Create and revise operational systems by analyzing current practices and implementing changes as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating personnel on control points and resources.
- Resolve personnel issues by investigating problems and recommending solutions.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.
- Contribute to team success by accomplishing related results as needed.
