Position Description :
The Production Coordinator assists in the manufacturing and production schedules for individual departments and operations. They check actual vs. planned production schedules and align purchasing and inventory management responsibilities in coordination of production schedule. They alter purchasing responsibilities to compensate for increases in production or changes in production schedule with a focus on adhering to customer timelines. The PC will solicit quotes and information regarding needed components, equipment, and services from reputable, qualified suppliers and monitor and maintain acceptable levels of inventory on purchased items within the position's scope of responsibility. They maintain inventory record accuracy; enter receipts and parts usages into the ERP system. Also assist the Director of Operations and / or Service Center Manager with order scheduling and expediting of purchased and in-process parts.
Requirements :
Candidates for this role should have a high school diploma, two-year technical degree or business degree. Candidates should also have both mechanical and electrical knowledge / experience (mechanical most important). Candidates should have at least a couple of years experience in manufacturing. They should also have an understanding of machining, print reading and have experience with ERP systems.
Salary : $30 - $40
