Position : Quality Assurance Inspector (Lamination) Location : Sarasota, FL
Shift Hours : Monday - Thursday from 6 : 00am - 4 : 30pm; able to work overtime as needed.
Salary / Benefits : $24 - $28 / hr depending on experience -plus Overtime. Full coverage benefits with 401k matching

Position Responsibilities :
Inspect all facets of the boat manufacturing process, ensuring defects are identified and corrected before moving to the next stage.Conduct tests and inspections on raw materials using designated test labs and equipment.Work closely with production teams to ensure compliance with internal quality policies and industry regulations.Develop and document measurable quality standards for acceptance.Maintain safety and reliability at the boat dock and fueling station.Provide coaching on quality standards and best practices in boat buildingEnsure accurate data input into the AIMSCO quality system and maintain inspection records.Track Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and apply them to the appropriate hull identification numbers (HINs).Support administrative tasks related to production and quality assurance.Qualifications :
Military veteran candidates with Quality Assurance experience are highly encouraged to apply! (no previous manufacturing experience required)Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilitiesMinimum 2 years in Quality AssuranceAbility to interpret and maintain quality standards and proceduresMechanical skills and ability to operate testing equipmentKnowledge of fiberglass, gel coat application, painting, and finishing processes desired.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management is desired.Some of the areas in which industry recognized credentials / certifications are being offered via this Apprenticeship Program are in the areas of :
Manufacturing Maintenance Technician : This is an 18-month training pathway that focuses on the upkeep and repair of industrial machinery within a manufacturing facility, performing tasks like preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdowns, and making necessary repairs to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely; the training offers a broad range of technical skills including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics to diagnose and fix issues with complex machinery.Quality Control Technician : This is an 18-month training pathway that leads to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. You will become a Certified Manufacturing Associate; with skills in Calibration, Hole Standards, Thread Standards, ISO 9001, etc.Industrial Manufacturing Technician : a fast track, short term, 1-year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on the set-up, operation, monitoring, and production control equipment. You will learn general manufacturing processes & production, maintenance, quality practices, measurement, and safety measures.Production Technologist Associate : a fast track, short-term, 1-year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on basic manufacturing concepts for high demand, production and assembly roles.
