In This Role, You'll Get To
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on the credit quality of corporate issuers, including creating tear-sheets and making formal buy/hold/sell recommendations to the Credit Committee.
- Assist in tracking and maintaining records of credit recommendations and investment decisions.
- Support trade execution and portfolio management processes, including cash reinvestment, monitoring portfolio risk factors (credit, duration, concentration, liquidity, industry exposure, etc.), and handling special client requests.
- Aid in documenting transactions and learning about settlement processes with custodians and brokers.
- Compile and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the Fixed Income Committee and clients.
- Assist in monitoring industry regulations and client-specific guidelines, contributing to compliance checks.
- Has a foundational knowledge of fixed income concepts, including yield, duration, and credit analysis.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses intermediate proficiency in Excel and a willingness to learn Bloomberg.
- Preferably is a current student in Junior or Senior standing working towards a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Has prior experience in research, data analysis, or general administrative roles (preferred but not required).
- Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and works effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
- Shows an eagerness to learn, solve problems, and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
