The Senior Investment Consultant, OCI fosters and manages relationships with financial advisors to assist them in utilizing Orion’s Custom Indexing and other Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) investment solutions. Additionally, this position will drive sales for Orion OCIO by working with Orion’s sales teams across all channels (RIA & IBD) as a subject matter expert.

Essential Functions Of The Job
- 25-50% travel throughout the region to present to financial advisors and advisors’ clients.
- Represent Orion and its OCIO products to advisors knowledgeably and effectively enabling advisors to clearly identify benefits of Orion’s proprietary products.
- Proactively engage with financial advisors to educate them on Orion’s Custom Indexing and other OCIO product offerings.
- Partners with Sales teams to identify new opportunities and maintain existing relationships with financial advisors, and prospective clients.
- Partners with Orion’s internal Investment team to gain product-related knowledge about our Custom Indexing and other investment-related offerings.
- Partners with Marketing in development of campaigns, newsletters, quarterly market reviews and sharing of ideas.
- Serves as a key liaison and subject matter expert supporting distribution across our Orion Wealth Platform and Orion Technology ecosystems.
- Extensive knowledge of capital markets, asset allocation, portfolio management, manager research, capital markets, and financial planning.
- Knowledge and/or expertise in Direct Indexing / Custom Indexing a plus.
- Strong communication and personal skills.
- Easily able to embrace and explain new technologies. Knowledge of Orion’s technology and Salesforce a plus.
- Self-motivated, outgoing, enthusiastic and a team player.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
- Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Effective written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem solving and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's Degree
- CFA Designation
- At least 5 years of experience
- Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
