As we build this business from the ground up, we are looking for a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Operations Manager to serve as a key architect of our mortgage operations.
The Opportunity
This is a foundational leadership role responsible for setting up and optimizing the core functions of Orion180 Mortgage. The Mortgage Loan Operations Manager will work directly with the President of Orion180 Financial Services, helping design and implement the operational, technological, and strategic infrastructure necessary to launch and scale the business.
This role requires a versatile, hands-on leader who can navigate multiple disciplines, including loan processing, marketing, technology, sales, customer service, and close collaboration with accounting, legal, and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Operational Setup
- Partner with executive leadership to develop the strategic roadmap for Orion180 Mortgage’s operations.
- Establish workflows, policies, and procedures to ensure efficiency, compliance, and scalability across all mortgage functions.
- Oversee technology implementation, including loan origination software (LOS), CRM systems, and automation tools.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive lead generation and brand awareness.
- Build out the sales support and customer service infrastructure to ensure a seamless borrower experience.
Loan Operations & Compliance
- Develop and optimize loan processing, underwriting, and closing workflows to enhance speed and efficiency.
- Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure licensing, regulatory, and investor requirements are met.
- Partner with accounting and finance teams to manage funding, reporting, and risk oversight.
- Establish performance metrics and reporting systems to measure operational success and identify areas for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work alongside sales leadership to optimize loan officer performance and support.
- Partner with technology teams to enhance digital lending capabilities and borrower experiences.
- Collaborate with HR and recruiting to help hire and onboard top talent as the business scales.
- Interface with investors, secondary market participants, and industry partners as Orion180 Mortgage establishes its funding and securitization strategies.
Who You Are
- 10 years of experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, underwriting, or related fields.
- Proven track record in building and scaling mortgage operations (experience in a startup or high-growth lender preferred).
- Deep knowledge of loan origination processes, secondary market sales, and regulatory compliance.
- Tech-savvy with experience in LOS platforms, CRM systems, and process automation.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with an ability to work cross-functionally.
- A strategic thinker who can execute and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs).
