CITON Claims Solutions LLC is a subsidiary of Orion180 Group Inc., and handles Claims Administration, Management, and Investigation.

Job Summary

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Manager is charged with leading all investigative functions for CITON related to suspicious / fraudulent claims. The Manager will also lead and develop all SIU Analysts and Investigators. Excellence is expected in all areas, including fact finding, pursuing information, documentation, and reporting.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manages all SIU Analysts and Investigators, including assigning and overseeing work, training, and schedule management.
  • Performs investigations; plans, prioritizes, and carries out investigative assignments, including but not limited to; property inspections, and Examinations Under Oath (EUO) and other investigatory methods as appropriate for the purpose of obtaining material evidence.
  • Case management tracking, including preparation of case file notes, reports, graphs, tables, and documentation in support of investigative findings.
  • Prepares and refers claims and other matters involving suspicious insurance acts to the fraud bureau or other law enforcement / regulatory entity in accordance with CITON’s policies and relevant state statutes; responds to law enforcement, and files information requests.
  • Commitment to continuing education in all areas of insurance investigation, creates and delivers fraud awareness training to CITON’s claims team and other stakeholders as necessary to facilitate the identification and referral of potentially fraudulent insurance acts to SIU.
  • Prepares and manages the development of Fraud Plans as required by each state.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional experience equivalent required.
  • 5 years of insurance claim investigation experience required.
  • 2 years of management experience required.
  • Exceptional knowledge relating to investigations and the defense of property claims.
  • Proficiency in interviewing and fact-finding techniques.
  • Outstanding note taking and report writing skills required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a high volume of assignments.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and develop relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Physical Demands

    While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to drive, sit for long periods, stand and / or walk around (including the use of stairs and ladders). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, and reading, writing and typing, being able to lift light objects (

    May involve exposure to adverse weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments during travel and inspections. An employee must be willing to work their regularly assigned work schedule for their duties and / or job responsibilities and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company / department needs, project requirements or customer demands.
