Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Solar Installer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for installing solar panels on residential and commercial properties throughout the San Antonio area. The ideal candidate should have experience working with electrical and roofing systems, as well as the ability to work comfortably at heights.
Responsibilities:
- Install, removal and reinstall of solar panels on roofs or other structures in compliance with safety regulations and installation specifications in the San Antonio area
- Assemble and install mounting hardware for solar panels.
- Connect wiring between solar panels and electrical components.
- Installation, removal, reinstall and testing of optimizers and microinverters.
- Reading of electrical blueprints.
- Install of critter guards.
- Commission and shut down PV systems.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition
- Adhere to OHSA standards and guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
- English and Spanish
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Electrician certificate preferred.
- 12 months of experience on solar jobs required.
- Experience with electrical and roofing systems preferred.
- OHSA 10 required.
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to climb ladders and work on roofs at heights of up to 30 feet
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
