The purpose of this role is to support and work with the Nevada geology exploration and development teams. The Exploration Summer Intern is responsible for collecting field and drillhole data, validating and processing the data, and performing geologic tests to guide future work on the project. This role will report directly to our Chief Geologist.

The Exploration Summer Intern is responsible for collecting field and drillhole data, validating and processing the data, and performing geologic tests to guide future work on the project. Job Duties:
- Collect outcrop rock samples.
- Collect soil samples.
- Support environmental reclamation and erosional control programs.
- Measure core, calculate RQD, and take core and chip photos.
- Perform density tests on core.
- Take XRF, magnetic susceptibility and UV readings.
- Two years of study towards a B.S. in Geology or Earth Science required.
- Experience in the mining industry preferred.
- Sampling and mapping experience preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft software required.
- Must be able to walk long distances over uneven ground, withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to deal professionally, courteously and confidently with staff and external organizations.
- Ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
