Multisystem ICU
The Multisystem Intensive Care Unit is a 32-bed unit which provides highly skilled medical and nursing care to critically ill and injured patients ages 16 and older. Clinically, the unit provides advanced hemodynamic monitoring, artificial airway and ventilator management and other treatments that are necessary to aggressively treat the complex acutely ill and critically ill medical and surgical populations. Both a medical and surgical Intensivist-led teams are available for consultation/management of patients in the MSICU. The MSICU staff functions as part of the multi-disciplinary team including physicians, social worker, case management, physical & occupational therapist, respiratory therapist, dietician, chaplain and pharmacist to meet the needs of this population.
The RN Advanced Care administers patient care in an area in a hospital or inpatient setting where patients have an advanced illness or injury that routinely requires timely, intense, and complex care to stabilize and support the patient’s medical condition. These areas require a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio and highly trained team members with advanced skills.
