What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing (Strategy and Media) Graduate Associate position at Orlando Magic?

Summary of Marketing Strategy & Marketing Media Graduate Associates Roles:
We are hiring two individuals to join the Marketing Strategy team, where the two will contribute to the branding, advertising, and overall marketing initiatives of the team. Both roles will work closely with internal teams to drive revenue across multiple business areas.
- Marketing Strategy Graduate Associate: This role will focus on driving revenue for areas such as ticket sales, group and premium sales, client and premium services, hospitality, and the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation. It will also report to the Marketing Strategy Manager.
- Marketing Media Graduate Associate: This role will focus on driving revenue for areas including single-game tickets, retail, youth basketball programs, and other key initiatives. It will also report to the Marketing Media Manager.
Additionally, both roles will support core organizational initiatives, including multicultural marketing.
What the Graduate Associate will be responsible for:
- Contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans and the launch of major marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Assist with branding initiatives across all assets, including mass advertising, internal publications, and multimedia.
- Write copy for advertising, emails, collateral, radio & TV scripts, and more.
- Collaborate closely with the Events department to ensure alignment on key initiatives.
- Produce reports to communicate marketing plans, progress, and results internally.
- Coordinate select marketing events to support organizational objectives and ongoing marketing campaigns.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
What the Graduate Associate needs to have:
- Post-graduate (recent college graduates within 24 months of graduation) or graduate-level college students are required, with a preferred degree in marketing and/or sports management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer skills is required, with experience in developing creative concepts and campaigns to build brand or product awareness considered a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in business writing, are essential, along with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with others, even without direct supervisory authority, and demonstrate strong teamwork and interpersonal relationship-building skills.
- Creativity, good judgment, decision-making skills, and a willingness to work long or irregular hours with a flexible schedule based on changing department priorities are essential.

Relocation Information:
- Relocation and housing expenses are the responsibility of the Graduate Associate (Note: This is a hybrid work model, but you must live and work in the Orlando, Florida area.)
- Reliable transportation is required.
Working Hours:
- Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- In-office and remote work schedules will be determined by your manager based on the role.
- Most Associates will work all game nights (44 home games, plus playoffs and finals), including weekends and holidays.
