We are recruiting for part-time, game night staff for the Orlando Magic, Osceola Magic, and Orlando Solar Bears. Whether you are a college student, a teacher with a flexible schedule, someone looking to re-enter the workforce, or someone just looking for additional income, our part-time, event roles could be perfect for you.
What our Part-Time hiring process is like:
While every position is different, our part-time hiring process is typically a two-step process, sometimes more depending on the nature of the role. After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our hiring manager for that particular role.
After interviews have been conducted, candidates whom the hiring manager selected will be contacted by our Talent Acquisition team. Candidates who are not selected to move forward will be contacted via email. We would love to call 100% of the candidates, however we typically interview well over 250 candidates during this part-time hiring week, and we want to give every candidate the decision as soon as possible.
This position will be working out of the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL.
A quick summary about the Part-Time Osceola Magic Blue Crew role:
The Osceola Magic are seeking high energy individuals to be part of the Osceola Magic Blue Crew. The Blue Crew assists with all in-game promotions, on-court performances, and fan experiences at every Osceola Magic home game. The Blue Crew acts as both the promo team and hype team at home games, bringing lots of energy and keeping the fans engaged throughout the game. They are responsible for the set up and take down of all props and equipment needed for all promotions, performances, and/or mascot skits. The Blue Crew also occasionally attends and assists with community events, mascot school shows, and high school halftime takeovers throughout the season.
What the position will be responsible for:
- Prepare & set up props for in-game promotions
- Engage fans throughout the game including leading crowd chants, tossing t-shirts, etc.
- Assist pre-game and halftime performers
- Assist with pre-game and postgame fan experiences
- Choose contestants for in-game promotions
- Assist team mascot “Swish” with skits and/or performances when needed
- Occasionally assist at various school shows and H.S. halftime takeovers throughout the season
- All other duties as assigned.
What is required for the role:
- High school graduate
- Ability to lift props/equipment on and off the court
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Comfortable speaking to groups of people
